What You Need

  • Sandwich
  • 2 pkgs Johnsonville Ginger Soy Flavoured Sausage Meat
  • 6 sandwich buns, french baguette (personal size or cut to approx. 6")
  • 2 tbsps spicy mayonnaise (chipotle or sriracha), preferred brand of premade sauce
  • 1/2 english cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 8 fresh cilantro sprigs, approx.
  • Pickled Vegetables
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 3 carrots, matchstick sliced
  • 5 radishes, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced

Preparation

  1. Prepare the picked vegetables: mix togther the water, rice vinegar, sugar and salt, and stir well to dissolve sugar and salt. Add the carrots, radishes and jalapeno slices and let marinade for 2 hours, or cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

  2. Form 9 small patties from each package of sausage meat, for a total of 18 patties. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook for patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side. Cook about 9 at a time so you do not overcrowd the pan. When cooked through, assemble sandwiches.

  3. Slice the buns lengthwise. On the bottom of each bun spread the pre-made spicy mayonnaise, top with 3 Ginger Soy Pork patties, pickled vegetables, cucumber slices and a sprig or 2 of fresh cilantro.

  4. Spicy mayo alternative: to make your own, mix small spoon of preferred choice of hot pepper sauce or dried seasoning into 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. Adjust to taste preference.
