What You Need

  • 1 package Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage Meat
  • 1.25 cups water
  • 1.25 cups (approximately 1 can) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) Hunts Tomato Sauce with Basil, Garlic and Oregano
  • 1.5 cups penne pasta, uncooked
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation

  1. Heat a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add sausage meat and cook for 5-8 minutes, breaking apart with spoon, until fully browned. Drain skillet and return sausage to skillet.

  2. Add water, tomatoes (undrained), tomato sauce and pasta to skillet. Stir well and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to a low simmer. Continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, or until pasta is al dente.

  3. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over pasta mixture and serve.
