Sausage Empanadas
Anyway you fill them, sausage empanadas make a great snack or party appetizer. Filled with spices and sausage-y goodness, you can guarantee there won’t be any leftovers!

What You Need

(6.6 ounces/188 g) Johnsonville Country Style Honey Garlic Flavoured Sausages, casings removed

small onions, chopped

ground cumin

garlic powder

dried oregano

pimento-stuffed olives, chopped

tbsp
raisins, chopped

egg, separated

Preparation
- Add decased sausage to skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion, cumin, garlic powder and oregano to sausage mixture. Cook until browned.
- Drain mixture of any excess liquid. Add olives and raisins to the sausage mixture.
- Beat egg yolk slightly and add to the mixture.
- Cut crusts into 3-inch circles using a biscuit or cookie cutter.
- Add 2 teaspoons of sausage mixture into crusts.
- Pinch dough to seal edges. Wet fingers with water to help pinch.
- Beat egg white and brush onto of sausage empanadas.
- Bake at 425°F oven for 15-18 minutes, until browned and serve
